Product update: Enhancing Collaboration and Data Management

In our ongoing commitment to making collaboration seamless, we’ve been working hard to enhance Kahootz with new features and improvements. This month’s release includes several updates to improve your workflow, database functionality, and overall experience.

Social Contact Updates

We’ve refreshed our social contact options to better align with the tools your teams are using today. We’ve removed outdated social contacts (Lync, Blogger, Flickr, Skype, and Facebook) and added Microsoft Teams integration. This update allows you to quickly initiate Teams discussions directly from Kahootz, streamlining communication between platforms. If your site admin has enabled Social Contacts on your Profile and you are a Microsoft Teams user, you can add your Microsoft Teams email to your profile and users will now be able to contact you on Teams via that link.

Database User Field Enhancements

For those of you using our powerful database functionality, we’ve added a new setting for user fields that offers greater flexibility. You can now specify whether clicking a username will search for that value or view the user’s profile. This enhancement gives workspace managers more control over how users interact with people-based data.

Document Management Improvements

We’ve enhanced our document management security by adding audit records when a user breaks another user’s document lock. This improves transparency and accountability when collaborating on documents, allowing workspace managers to better monitor document access and modifications.

Survey Response Tracking

To help you gather higher quality data, we now record IP addresses when users respond to surveys. This feature is particularly valuable for anonymous surveys, allowing you to identify potential duplicate entries while maintaining respondent privacy.

Improved Tag Search

Finding content across your workspaces is now easier with our enhanced tag search functionality. You can now search for multiple tags simultaneously, making it quicker to locate related content across your Kahootz environment.

General Improvements

As always, we’ve implemented various bug fixes and performance enhancements to ensure your Kahootz experience remains smooth and reliable.
