Secure British software provider Kahootz has announced that the Home Office will extend its existing contract with Kahootz in support of the FireLink Programme for the emergency services.
Since 2006, Kahootz has deployed their secure cloud-based platform to provide a vital capability joining together the Home Office and Fire and Rescue Services, enabling real time secure communications as part of their strategic programme delivery.
Strengthening Emergency Services Communication
The programme is part of the Government’s wider Emergency Services Network (ESN) and ensures that emergency Fire and Rescue Services have a reliable and secure digital communication platform to coordinate responses during emergencies.
The minimum two-year contract extension builds on Kahootz’s successful delivery to date, taking the programme to over 20 years in service with the emergency services. During this time Kahootz have ensured that the platform has developed at the speed of relevance, ensuring the best-in-class capability. Over the last eighteen years, it has evolved into a service that allows seamless communication between fire and rescue, police, and ambulance services, allowing for greater coordination of emergency services during incidents.
Expanding Government Support Services
Alongside the Home Office, Kahootz continues to support the delivery of critical programmes across a broad range of Government departments such as the NHS, Cabinet Office and Ministry of Defence, as well as some of the world’s largest private sector contractors, enabling vital information sharing at high security classifications.
