K3 2010 Training Workshop Dates:
The
Australian Children’s Television Foundation
(ACTF) runs a two day spaced Kahootz 3.0 training workshop. The aim of the training is to equip educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to be confident users and facilitators of Kahootz 3.0 in the classroom. Educators undertaking the Kahootz workshop are encouraged to participate in Day 1 and Day 2. However participants have the choice to participate in one isolated day if they choose. The training is suitable for both primary and secondary school educators.
Day 1
of the
Kahootz
training is a hands on workshop that focuses on familiarising oneself with the general interface and functionality of Kahootz. Participants involved in the Day 1 Kahootz workshop will look at planning a unit of work with the inclusion of Kahootz 3.0, incorporating curriculum objectives, development of tasks, planned assessment, and with an opportunity to begin to create their own Xpression modelled on an interdisciplinary approach to learning and teaching, with a focus on current themes.
Day 2
of the
Kahootz
workshop continues on from where Day 1 leaves off and is designed to extend educators knowledge, understanding and skills. The Day 2 workshop will provide primary and secondary educators with hands-on tuition in how to create Kahootz Bluescreen movies and interactive Kahootz games. The day also provides educators with an opportunity to share with their colleagues, their experiences of Kahootz in their school/ classroom.
