Rationale
   
 
This unit is designed to allow students to use photos taken during the “Minnamurra Rainforest” excursion to be used to show a visual recount. The unit incorporates the use of digital camera with animation.

This aspect is one part of a Term study on “Rainforests” and Kahootz was used to show visually what was also done in written form. This is part of our “Visual Literacy” curriculum.

Student Tasks
   
   
Take and process digital camera photos.
View digital photos on “G” drive and select appropriate ones.
Use Kahootz import tool to select digital images.
Select appropriate “Objects” to incorporate into photos and animate them.
Select appropriate sounds for inclusion.
Link scenes.
Use “World Keypoints” to zoom into photos to create special effects.
Create title and closing scenes.

Explore each others visual recount and note how the photos have been used.

Rainforest Projects from around the world could be linked into a collection.
Visual recounts of excursions could be linked.
Schools could share one digital photo for students from other schools to complete with objects, animation, sound and text.
