  45 min session for each student to create their own Kahootz ‘Water’ scene. 15 minutes to collect over the network and join the Xpressions into one file using the ‘Insert Xpression’ command in the Kahootz menu bar. 30 minute session for two students to work cooperatively to link the scenes.

Rationale
   
 
Students have been studying Water as part of an integrated thematic unit in their classrooms.
To complete an Xpression that showcased each student’s thoughts on ‘Water’, it was decided to join their Xpressions into one file.
This meant a completed multi-scene Xpression could be created in one session.

Student Tasks
   
   
A short discussion took place on what students had learnt during their study of ‘Water’.
Students were given the challenge of producing a Kahootz water scene from their knowledge of the topic, by the end of the 45 minute session. They could use any tools in Kahootz that they liked.
At the end of the session the Xpressions had to be saved in the correct place on the school network.
Xpressions then joined into one file using the ‘Insert Xpression’ command in the Kahootz menu bar.

Students view completed joined and linked Xpression, discussing their contribution.
Students show Xpression to other year 2 students and teachers.

Have a knowledge of how to use Kahootz tools.
Been through a classroom unit on the theme.
Know where to save files on the school network.
