What version of Kahootz are you running?

To find out the version of Kahootz you are running:
- Open Kahootz
- Select 'About Kahootz' from the About menu bar
- If it shows Kahootz Version 2.0.5, no software update is required.

If it shows Kahootz Version 2.0.0, Kahootz Version 2.0.1, Kahootz Version 2.0.2, Kahootz Version 2.0.3 or Kahootz Version 2.0.4 please install the Software Update listed below.

Please Note: The 2.0.5 Update Patch must be installed prior to installing the Kahootz 2 Pattern Manager.

Main features of 2.0.5 Update

The main features include:

Imported images now retain their original colour space rather than being converted to an 8 bit palette (this feature requires version 2.0.4 -- earlier versions of Kahootz will continue to display imported images in 256 colours).

Support for "*.ktr" resource files.

Support for "Pattern Manager" functions.

Maintenance Update.

Macintosh 2.0.5 Update Download - March 2006

Click on link below to download Kahootz Update to your computer.
Open the Kahootz Update 2.0.5 folder and double click on the package icon to launch Kahootz Update.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.

Kahootz Update for Macintosh Classic is not available at this time.

Kahootz 2 Pattern Manager for Windows - Released September 2005

Kahootz 2 Pattern Manager is an extension to Kahootz that allows users to edit the custom patterns set in their xpressions.

Please Note: The 2.0.5 Update Patch must be installed prior to installing the Kahootz Pattern Manager.

Download "Install_Pattern_Manager.exe" and save it on your computer's hard drive.
Double-click on the application and it will extract and launch the installer automatically.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.

Kahootz 2 Pattern Manager is an extension to Kahootz that allows users to edit the custom patterns set in their xpressions.

Download "Install_Pattern_Manager.dmg" and save it on your computer's hard drive.
Double-click on the disk image to mount it, then open the mounted volume and double click on "Install Kahootz Pattern Manager" to start installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.

Kahootz 2 Movie Maker 1.5 for Windows - NEW Version - September 2005

Kahootz 2 Movie Maker is an extension that allows Kahootz to create digital video movies from their Xpression files. Movie Maker version 1.5 is now able to export Quicktime and AVI movie files directly to your hard drive, without needing to launch a "Helper Application" (Movie Maker 1.5 still includes support for VirtualDub on the PC).

Kahootz 2 Movie Maker requires:

The 2.0.3, 2.0.4 or 2.0.5 Update Patch to be installed first.

Kahootz Movie Maker 1.5 now uses Quicktime to render video files on Windows PCs (support for VirtualDub has been maintained for users who wish to continue using this program).
Quicktime is available for free from Apple's web site at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/. You do not need to register Quicktime Pro to use Kahootz Movie Maker.

Click on link below to download Kahootz 2 Movie Maker and save to your computer's hard drive.
You must have first installed Kahootz Update 2.0.3, 2.0.4 or 2.0.5(see above).

When download is complete, double-click on the application and it will extract and launch the installer automatically.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation. When installation has completed, the installer will ask you if you want to search for a helper video application.

If you have already installed virtualDub or Quicktime on your computer you should search for it at this point. If you choose to skip this step, Movie Maker will prompt you to search for a helper application when you first start it up.

To run the movie maker you must have first installed Kahootz Update 2.0.5 Patch (see above).

Download "Install Kahootz Movie Maker.dmg" and save it on your computer's hard drive.
Double-click on the file to mount the disk image, then open the mounted volume and double click on "Install Kahootz Movie Maker" to start installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.
